About Sri Dalada Perahera
The grand festival of Sri Lanka showcasing Buddhist culture and traditions.
Sri Dalada Perahera (the festival of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha) is the grand festival held in August in Sri Lanka. With its elegant costumes and decorations, it has become a unique symbol of Sri Lankan heritage.
This Buddhist festival features spectacular dances and beautifully adorned elephants. Visitors can witness fire-dances, whip-dances, Kandian dances, and various other cultural performances. The elephants are lavishly decorated with ornate garments, creating a magnificent spectacle.
